You can make a case that Liverpool should have won four of those football matches.
The Arsenal and Newcastle draws are the only league games this season that Liverpool haven’t “won” on xG by at least 0.4.

In the last three draws against Fulham, Manchester United, and Nottingham Forest, the stats clearly weight in the Reds’ favour.
Forest last night was the most glaring example. 23 shots to 6. 1.99 xG to 0.31. But the most important stat is the score: one goal apiece.
Forest scored with their first attack, their first shot of the game, and then didn’t lay a glove on Liverpool afterwards.
The xG timeline of the game tells the story.
